Masteron does not aromatize in the body (that is, it does not convert into estrogens); on the contrary, it is an aromatase inhibitor. Drostanolone is similar in biological action to dihydrotestosterone, since it is a derivative of this hormone (Masteron’s chemical formula is 2a-methyl-dihydro-testosterone propionate). In medicine, Masteron is used as a treatment for breast cancer in women [1] [2], but due to the high probability of virilization, it is currently practically not used. Drostanolone is usually available in ampoules of 50 and 100 mg/ml.

Criminal liability entails: illegal production, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation or forwarding for the purpose of sales, as well as illegal sale, or equipment for its production or processing.

History of the drug
Masteron (drostanolone propionate
) is perhaps one of the most “exotic” androgenic anabolic steroids (AAS) used by athletes. Originally developed as an anti-estrogen (called Masteril), the drug was used to treat breast cancer. It has been widely used in the treatment of breast cancer in combination with SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) Tamoxifen (or Nolvadex) and has been shown to significantly reduce estrogen levels in women undergoing such treatment. Today, for various reasons, it is rarely used for these purposes, but for many athletes, and professional bodybuilders in particular, Masteron remains a virtually unsung favorite among anabolic steroid drugs.
The fact that Masteron has been used as an anti-estrogen suggests some of its properties. Masteron is a derivative of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) and is not converted to estrogen through aromatization. It is believed that the antiestrogenic properties of Masteron may be partly due to either inhibition of the synthesis of the aromatase enzyme, or a direct effect on estrogens, blocking its binding to estrogen receptors. Either way, this makes Masteron a useful option for those using steroid compounds that convert to estrogen (and many do, given that testosterone is the mainstay of most cycles).
By inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, Masteron prevents the transformation of free testosterone into estrogen through aromatization. This not only serves to slightly increase the amount of active free testosterone in the circulatory system (making testosterone more effective than in a non-Masteron system), but also negates the side effects that result from high estrogen levels. These side effects include gynecomastia and fluid retention/swelling. Conversely, if Masteron actually blocks estrogen from binding to estrogen receptors, even if aromatization of testosterone occurs, its effect will be limited due to estrogen's inability to bind to estrogen receptors. Thus, through this mechanism, when using Masteron, the effect of excess estrogen production through aromatization will also be limited.
Side effects of Masteron[edit | edit code]
Masteron has a low anabolic index, which is why it burns fat so well, at the same time it increases the risk of androgenic side effects: aggression, acne, baldness, prostate hypertrophy and virilization in women. Once at the Olympic Games, almost all the gold medals were received by the German swimming team, it was later proven that the athletes were using a derivative of dihydrotestosterone, and apparently it was Masteron. During the interview, one of the journalists asked the question, why do all the athletes have such a low voice? To this one of them replied that they were here to swim, not to sing.
Masteron does not cause side effects such as fluid retention, increased blood pressure and has low toxicity to the liver.

Masteron course[edit | edit code]
The optimal effect of the drug is achieved using a dosage of about 400-500 mg per week. Larger increases in dosage do not lead to significantly improved results. Given that propionate has a short chain, drostanolone propionate must be administered 3 times a week (or every other day).
Drostanolone combination
Due to the high affinity of drostanolone for androgen receptors and its androgenic properties, it is recommended to combine this drug with steroids such as Winstrol or Oxandrolone. Winstrol interacts to a lesser extent with androgen receptors and reduces the concentration of sex hormone binding globulin, so the combination will have a pronounced synergistic effect during the cutting cycle.
To gain muscle mass, it is recommended to combine Masteron and Testosterone propionate, but in this case the production of your own testosterone is significantly suppressed.[4] Therefore, for long courses it is necessary to use gonadotropin. Also, it is often recommended to combine Masteron and Trenbolone or Boldenone.
Combined courses with drostanol
The negative aspects of solo use of the drug are easily eliminated by taking the steroid together with other similar drugs. In its action, Masteron is most similar to androgen receptors.
It is most often used with either Winstrol or Oxandrolone. The first shows maximum effectiveness, since its interaction with androgen receptors is minimal. It reduces the concentration of globulin that binds sex hormones, that is, it exhibits a synergistic effect.
To gain muscle mass, Masteron is combined with testosterone propionate. During this combined course, it is recommended to use gonadotropin. This allows you to compensate for the level of endogenous testosterone. Drostanolone is best compatible when combined with drugs such as Trenbolone and Boldenone.

Properties of Masteron
Since Masteron is a derivative of DHT, it retains some of the characteristics of the parent hormone. In particular, it does not interact with aromatase. The aromatase enzyme is responsible for converting androgens into estrogens, and Masteron is not affected by this process. Thus, at any dosage, Masteron will not exhibit any estrogenic properties. This eliminates the risk of the following side effects: water retention, high blood pressure (as a result of water retention), potential fat gain/retention, and gynecomastia. Those who use Masteron, as a result, receive only an increase in muscle mass without water and without the effect of a bloated soft body. This is why Masteron is preferred by most bodybuilders and athletes as an effective means of losing weight, and also as a drug for cutting courses before competitions.
Due to its moderate anabolic power, Masteron is not considered an effective tool for gaining mass and volume. Many experienced users of anabolic steroids believe that the high price and relatively low anabolic potency make the drug useful only among competitive bodybuilders who need to achieve a toned and chiseled appearance for one performance on stage. It has been confirmed that in combination with other individual drugs, Masteron “tears” the body even more. But similar “sealing” properties of Masteron appear in athletes (athletes) with a low percentage of adipose tissue in the body. Otherwise, this effect simply will not be noticeable. All this leads to the next, main property of Masteron.
Masteron manifests itself as a moderate aromatase inhibitor. It is also able to block estrogen in the receptor sites of breast tissue. Thanks to this feature, the drug has become an advanced drug for the treatment of breast cancer. On a thin body (with a fat percentage of no more than 10), Masteron demonstrates a “firming” and “sculpting” effect, as many experienced users say. Masteron works to inhibit the aromatase enzyme, thereby eliminating the ability of estrogen to be formed from aromatizable anabolic steroids during the aromatization process. Essentially, it reduces water retention as estrogen levels continue to decline due to the increase in inactive aromatase enzymes.
Courses and application
Masteron courses, as a rule, are very limited in their functionality and dynamics. The drug is not intended for a sharp increase in volume, strength, etc. There are much more effective anabolic steroids for cutting and burning fat. The only area of application for Masteron is a course aimed at losing fat mass for bodybuilders in preparation for competitions. But, as a rule, even in courses aimed at reducing the volume of adipose tissue, Masteron does not play a key role.
The short-lived effect of Masteron requires long-term use, usually the course is from 8 to 10 weeks. Some bodybuilders prefer to use Masteron only during the last 2-4 weeks of the cycle, before a competition or photo shoot, solely for the purpose of improving the visual physiological characteristics of the body. A typical course begins with 10 weeks of taking compounds such as Testosterone Propionate, Trenbolone Acetate and Anavar. By the 6th or 8th week of such a cycle, Masteron is introduced into the course (sometimes removing some other drug) and then taken until the end of the 10th week.
The classic regimen for taking Masteron is aimed at reducing fat mass. It involves an 8-10 week course in parallel with compounds of similar origin, such as injectable Winstrol, Testosterone Propionate and, sometimes, Trenbolone Acetate or an oral version of Winstrol.
