Practice Virasana pose regularly and your posture will become perfect.

Hello my dear readers!

One of the branches of Hatha Yoga, couples yoga, is an exciting and completely new front for two exercises. Of course, it is better to practice with your significant other: this is a very necessary exercise to strengthen your relationship, but you can also do it with a friend or your own child.

Speaking about hatha yoga, it should be noted that on this basis many other movements were formed, such as Ashtanga yoga, Bikram yoga, as well as recognizable kundalini, integral yoga and many others.

Each of them carefully studies the various nuances of the yogic tradition, offering new views and, at the same time, ways to achieve perfection. Then men's yoga, certainly based on the traditions of hatha yoga, enriched this old practice. It brought newness and even some enthusiasm.

The essence of a yoga person is that all recognizable hatha yoga asanas can be performed not only alone, but also together, as well as in mini-groups of 3-4 people. In addition, it is not only the synchronized execution of poses and stretches, but also a new creative understanding of long-understood asanas, understood together with other participants.

To start practicing men's yoga, you just need to find a friend and colleague who will share your views on types of life and this practice. It is absolutely not necessary, as many people think, start doing this with your loved one.

Perhaps this option suits someone, and their partner shares their views and interests. But if this is not the case, or for some other reason this change is not feasible, then simply by finding an ally who is interested in yoga and leads the same type of life, you can simply organize the exercises in pairs.

Also, the name "man" does not mean that you have limited choices and that you can only specialize with one person. Many people who practice yoga in pairs join another pair or organize a “trio,” which has a very beneficial effect on the overall outcome and allows you to vary the performance of traditional asanas, complicate them, or, conversely, making difficult poses inaccessible in a completely new, doable initial stages.

It is even more common to find a partner if you are already participating in a yoga group, but would like to devote a lot of time to this practice and move more intensively in developing new asanas. Perhaps this is a more perfect option for the development of a couple: specializing in a person from your own group, where either participant understands exactly which front to move on and what to pay attention to. “Mating” is especially excellent in the initial stages of training.

The benefits of exercise together

Yoga itself has invaluable benefits. The young man's practice is full of wonderful qualities and retains all the necessary effects of hatha yoga.

During practice, the level of trust increases significantly, an approach appears and a feeling of security appears. But it is important to think that its purpose is to build trust, a professional approach, and not to resolve conflicts.

If a couple has unresolved situations that lead to conflict, it is better to postpone the exercise until they are resolved.

This is because to achieve harmony, young people who practice the right person have a pleasant and peaceful time together, and the focus is on whoever is currently with you.

Reference! For couples who have decided to specialize for the first time, men's yoga will provide a good foundation for strong and reliable girls and provide confidence.

Preparatory video visualization will inspire young people to play sports, strengthen their desire to exercise and improve their skills.

Variations

Virasana can be performed as follows:

  • sit in the Hero position;
  • slowly lean back, placing your elbows on the floor;
  • go lower until your head is on top of your head;
  • move further down so that the back of your head lies on the floor;
  • stretch your arms out to the sides and relax.

When performing the exercise, you must monitor the position of your knees. It is not recommended to spread them or lift them above the surface. The pose will bring maximum benefit to people who play sports or spend a lot of time on their feet. Regular yoga classes will help eliminate pain and fatigue in the lower extremities. The asana can be used by pregnant women to relieve pressure and nausea in the morning, eliminate constipation and bloating, normalize digestion, strengthen the lower back and work out the joints in the hip area.

The counter-position to the heroic pose is Adho mukha virasana, which helps relieve tension in muscle tissue and ligaments after performing deep bends. The basic technique is the heroic pose, but the knees are pulled out to the sides, placing the buttocks on the feet. The arms are raised, extended forward, spreading the fingers, and lowered to the floor along with the body. The head is placed between the upper limbs with the forehead on the floor.

For beginners, another version of the asana is suitable, which involves the use of 3 blankets and a roller. Actions are performed in the following sequence:

  • kneel down, place the roller perpendicularly between them, connecting the big toes;
  • fold the first blanket 4 times and place a bolster on it;
  • fold the second one in the same way, place it in the bend of the knees, sit down and spread them the width of the bolster, keeping the buttocks on the heels;
  • make a cushion out of the third blanket and place it between the stomach and thighs;
  • hold on to an improvised cushion with their hands, stretch out their torso and lower themselves onto it with their stomach, keeping their buttocks on their heels;
  • try to stretch themselves to the maximum;
  • bend the upper limbs at the elbows, place the shoulders on the blanket and lower the forehead onto the hands;
  • stay in this position for 5 minutes.

To exit, raise your torso and relax. After this, they rise to their feet, leaning on their knees. The pose can be used in several variations. When performed correctly, the asana allows you to eliminate fat deposits in the sides and hips, improve joint mobility, strengthen the muscles of the legs, buttocks and abs, and also prevents arthritis and osteochondrosis of the spine.

The position will be useful for women, especially those who want to improve their figure. Women who practice yoga can benefit from Hero's Pose in meditation. It allows you to massage the reproductive organs and is considered the best exercise for meditation.

Benefits of Partner Yoga

Yoga together is a good way to improve your internal communication with your partner, improve your own communication, be open and fully trust each other, and deepen your ability to trust yourself. Partnership practices reveal the beauty of interdependence. Just like in life, by supporting each other you can achieve great results without much effort. She teaches you to enjoy life.

Touch is an integral part of yoga together. People in love derive the greatest satisfaction from a yoga practice, feeling the satisfaction of being together to overcome challenges together.

Without physical contact there is no partnership. Touch has great power, it can heal, it gives satisfaction, it gives pleasure. We are social creatures. Without contact with the body, we begin to die from the inside. So it's worth trying to work together.

According to some researchers, we need at least 8 hugs a day to maintain good health. Yoga together is the ability to recognize and set limits and be open about them. This is an opportunity to respect someone else's rules and respond to needs, including yours.

This helps deepen the pose without pain. Improves balance, softens posture. Your partner serves as a mirror that helps you trust how to tune in and focus. He can be considered a personal teacher who helps correct any posture.

Partner yoga can seem intimidating for beginners. But love, from experienced yogis to beginners, can benefit from practicing with a partner. The physical and mental challenges associated with asana practice together promote connection and intimacy between partners in a unique way.

Beneficial effect

With the help of Virasana, a yogi can strengthen his lower limbs and restore his emotional state. This position also promotes other improvements in the body:

  1. The knee joints are strengthened. If a person often has rheumatic pain, after a few exercises it will become easier.
  2. The muscles of the hips and ankles are stretched and gradually strengthened.
  3. The functioning of the gastrointestinal tract improves.
  4. Salt deposits in the heel area disappear.
  5. The back muscles are strengthened.
  6. Blood circulation in the lower body improves.
  7. Problems associated with irregular menstrual cycles in girls disappear.
  8. The tension that accumulates in the legs is relieved.

You can only achieve positive results from the Hero Pose if you perform this exercise regularly. This position allows you to focus on your thoughts and clear your mind for a successful day. According to legends, ancient warriors meditated in this position before advancing against the enemy or carrying out the orders of the commander-in-chief.

Safety precautions

Communication between partners is essential to the safety of the practice. What does it take to understand yoga about a person in order to practice without injury?

  • Talk to your partner. “To help you go deeper into the pose?” “How are you feeling?” “Are we trying to do this part?” It is preferable to ask a man these and other questions during yoga practice. Be sure to tell your partner if you feel pain, discomfort, discomfort in a certain position. And also if you start to lose your balance and support.
  • Listen to your own body. Unusual positions and new poses can create a thrill of euphoria. But don’t go crazy and forget about safety rules. Make sure that you do NOT push yourself to the limit during the asanas. Otherwise, there is a risk of excessive muscle tension or increased strength.

Who is the class suitable for and are there any contraindications?

Couples yoga has no contraindications, so at least anyone can specialize, regardless of their level of physical condition. Even if it would be premature to specialize in such training, and only look at photos in magazines and on the Internet, there is a special pair yoga for beginners, which includes a complex adapted for a beginner.

Even if both people are not trained, the exercises are performed under the supervision of a qualified professional. If you have acquired diseases, consultation with an experienced teacher is inevitable.

Description of the pose of the hero Virasan

Hero pose in yoga is also called Virasana. This word is taken from Sanskrit. The word asana is translated as “posture”. At first glance, it may seem that this is a simple position that does not require additional concentration or compliance with any subtleties. However, experienced masters will say that the winner’s pose in yoga is considered a rather complex element, which has some tricks and pitfalls. It helps restore psychological calm, relax muscles, and set the mood for doing something.

Preparation

Like some other exercises, yoga for two includes preparatory training, otherwise it will only damage the muscles, which will cause the opposite effect of the practice. You need to prepare for couples yoga; for beginners, start with the usual workouts that are familiar to most people in physical education school. Includes running, jumping, and mandatory stretching.

Anyone can create a personal training program for themselves, but it is necessary to warm up the muscles so that they are ready to withstand the load. For this purpose, hatha yoga offers a separate complex in which any asana is thought out.

Such exercises must be performed separately. At least some of the moves together included in a couple's yoga program for beginners should be done in silence while they are relaxed.

To put internal harmony in the subconscious of married couples, associating it with the definition of “yoga,” you need to choose calm and soft music for training. Its volume should be such that it does not muffle the sound of breathing.

It is forbidden to speak while performing the poses, as speech depresses breathing and reduces concentration. The whole exercise should control your sensory state twice as much. Through expression, meditation becomes pampering.

The benefits of asana in yoga

If you perform this asana correctly and regularly, you can get rid of knee pain, correct the arch of your feet, and even cure flat feet. The pose also has a beneficial effect on the hip muscles, leg joints and shapes posture.

The asana can be done after eating; it can reduce the feeling of heaviness in the stomach.

Additional benefits from regular practice:

  • improved digestion;
  • combating migraines;
  • eliminating tension from the legs;
  • help in getting rid of salt heel spurs;
  • helping to get rid of gout.
